You are able to utilize special fighting styles which alter the way you fight while unarmed. You learn a number of fighting styles equal to half your Smarts. You must spend an action to enter a fighting style, and you may only use one fighting style at a time. You may end a fighting style as a free action on your turn.
Treat a fighting style as a special unarmed weapon. It does not inflict extra damage, but instead modifies your unarmed attacks by adding positive and negative weapon abilities. The final cost of your fighting style must equal 0. You may choose from the following weapon abilities:
- Positive: Disarming (+1), Bashing (+1), High Raise Die (+1), Sundering (+1), Defensive (+1), Tripping (+2), Medium Cover (+2), Very High Raise Die (+2), Reach (+3), Extreme Raise Die (+3), Finesse (+3), Strong Offense (+3), Strong Defense (+3)
- Negative: Lunging (-1), Low Penetration (-1), Low Raise Die (-1), Very Low Penetration (-2), No Raise Die (-2), Weak Offense (-3), Weak Defense (-3), No Strength (-4), Unbalanced (-4)
- Hindrances: Blind (-4), Lame (-2), One Arm (-2)
